| Licorice & Sloe Co. gives Newburyport shoppers a reason to stroll down Middle Street. With its brick and wood interior, walls painted a warm sage color and vibrant artwork on the wall, the teahouse is a calming alternative to the hustle and bustle of a coffee shop. Tea master [Tea Student] Bil Silliker offers a multitude of tea flavors unfathomable to a non-tea connoisseur. There is something for absolutely everyone. The quaint shop also has wi-fi access for patrons. There’s a back room decorated in living room style with small tables for a more intimate setting than the café in the front room. Silliker and his wife Meg fashioned Licorice & Sloe after what they thought Newburyporters and their visitors would like. We think they hit it spot on. |
