The mission of the Tea Shop Owners Consortium (TSOC) is to serve an
exciting and entrepreneurial segment of the specialty tea industry by
providing current Tea establishment operators and new "Teatrepreneurs"
(Tea entrepreneurs) who are in the planning stages of their Tea-related
business with an educative and supportive forum for getting steeped in
discussion on topics regarding:
- Tea Tastes: To understand what tea is all about
(tastes, varieties, methods of preparation, etc.) and
- Tea Business Operations: To grapple with start up
fundamentals for planning and running a tea house/ tea bar or on-line
tea business (real estate, financial planning, product sourcing,
marketing and trends, back-end business considerations, etc.) and
- Tea Collaboration: To develop efforts for leveraging the joint
purchasing power of businesses that cooperatively negotiate favorable
terms with vendors and suppliers
